COURSE PREVIEW

ABOUT THE RECIPE

Chebakia, also known as "Mkharka," is a classic Moroccan cookie that is indispensable during the month of Ramadan, when you will find it sold in stores all over Morocco.

Chebakia is a unique dessert that is shaped like a flower. It is made with flour, sesame seeds, and almonds, and it is spiced with warm spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground anise seeds. The dough is then shaped into little flower cookies before being fried, and dipped in warm honey. It is finished with a sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds for the perfect final crunch.

Making chebakia at home is the best way to get the tastiest version. It requires lots of effort, but it's worth it when you taste the delicious results. Follow the dada's detailed recipe and learn all the tricks to making this unique Moroccan treat.
