ABOUT THE RECIPE
Mahalabia, also spelled Mhalabia, mahlabia, or muhalabia. is traditionally a middle easter dessert that has become an essential in the Moroccan Ramadan table.
This dessert is a delicious milk based pudding that is traditionally flavored with rose water, but in Morocco, it is flavored with orange blossom water, as the flavor is much more common in the Moroccan pantry.
This is an extremely easy and affordable dessert that only requires 4 basic ingredients: milk, sugar, cornstarch, and orange blossom water. The ingredients are mixed together, then cooked until the pudding thickens. Pour the dessert into cups, chill it, then top it with your toppings of choice (nuts, dried or fresh fruits, coconut...).
