ABOUT THE RECIPE

Soups are an essential component of the Moroccan table. They are made all year around, but are especially popular during the month of Ramadan, since they are often the first dish eaten to break the fast and to replenish the body after a long day of fasting.

Pumpkin is a very versatile ingredient in Moroccan cooking. Sugar pumpkins are especially popular because they are sweet, making them ideal for all types of recipes, including couscous, tagines, and warm salads.

In this course, the dada is making a creamy pumpkin soup that can be consumed all year around, though it is especially ideal for fall and cold winter nights.
Not only is the pumpkin soup incredibly delicious, but it is very easy to make and comes together in one pot.
